How to rotate, reorder and delete PDF pages

  1. Drop your PDF onto the box above. Every page appears as a thumbnail.
  2. For each page you can rotate left or right, delete it (it is dimmed and can be restored) and move it earlier or later. On a computer you can also drag a page to a new place.
  3. Use the buttons above the grid to rotate all pages together, reverse the whole order, or reset everything.
  4. Press Save PDF and download the new file. Your original is not touched.

The page counter shows how many pages will be kept, and the save button stays disabled until you have changed something.

Visual editing, no upload

The thumbnails are drawn on your device by pdf.js, and the new file is built by a PDF library in a background thread. At no point is your document sent anywhere. That makes it suitable for scans of IDs, bank statements and other documents that should not pass through an online service. It also works offline after the first visit.

How changes are applied

Reordering and deleting simply copy the pages you keep into a new document in the order you chose, so nothing about the pages themselves changes: text stays selectable, images stay at full quality and fonts remain embedded.

Rotation does not redraw anything either. It sets the page’s rotation property, which is exactly what PDF viewers do when you rotate a page, and it is added to any rotation the page already had. A page that came out of your scanner upside down needs two clicks of the rotate button.

Practical tips

  • Scanned documents often have a few sideways or upside-down pages. Rotate those pages individually, since a single bad page is common when pages are fed through a document feeder.
  • To move a page far, use the arrow buttons repeatedly, or drag the thumbnail. Dragging works with a mouse; on touch screens the arrows are the reliable way.
  • Large documents render thumbnails as you scroll, so a hundred-page file opens quickly.
  • Deleting is only final when you save. If you change your mind, restore the page or press Reset.
  • To take pages from several files, merge the files first and then tidy the result here. To pull a section out into its own file, use the split tool.
  • Bookmarks and form fields are not carried into the new file, which is the same as for the other PDF editing tools on this site.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rotate a single page?

Use the rotate buttons on that page thumbnail. There is also a button to rotate every page at once.

Can I undo a deletion?

Deleted pages are only dimmed until you save, so you can restore them with one click. Nothing changes in your original file.

Does reordering change quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text, images and vectors stay exactly the same.

Are my files uploaded anywhere? How can I check?

No. The PDF page organizer runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly, so your files never leave your device. You can verify it: open your browser's DevTools (F12, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac), switch to the Network tab, tick "Preserve log", clear the list and process a file. You will only see requests for this site's own static files, never one that carries your data. You can also turn on "Offline" in the Network tab (or disconnect from the internet) once the page has loaded, and the tool keeps working.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit a service worker saves the tool to your device, so it opens and works without a connection. Only advertising needs the internet; the processing never does.
